Special guest of the Festival was Juliusz Machulski, with whom the Gala organizers communicated via means of communication directly from the film set in Bartoszyce, where the director was working on a new production.

Juliusz Machulski – Olsztyn-born director, film producer, actor, screenwriter and playwright. He made his debut as a director of cinema films with Vabank (1981), a retro-maintained pastiche of crime cinema. In the 1980s, Machulski tried to discount the popularity of Vabank with a sequel titled Vabank II, or riposte (1984). On December 10, 1998, his star was unveiled in the Avenue of Stars on Piotrkowska Street in Lodz. In October 2011 he was appointed to the Council of the Polish Film Institute.
